Finishing a good book is bittersweet. I relish the sense of accomplishment, the satisfaction of completion. But to a certain extent it’s also the end of a relationship, the death of an acquaintance. Those characters will not be further developed, the plot will never again thicken, ideas are no longer new. I think that is why I left hundreds of books nearly, but not quite, finished when I was younger. I couldn’t stand the idea of it being over.

We went out to set off some fireworks, and our neighbors joined us. We were having a raucously good time. I was amazed at what you can buy, I was thinking 'this can't be legal'. Apparently it's not. We bought our stuff outside city limits. Anyway, it's not the fourth until the police show up...

Taken is a great action flick, if you like the Bourne movies you'll love this one.

Defiance is an emotional survival movie, it's good but you have to be in the right mood for it.

Being an intern for Walgreens this summer is pretty great. I just got paid a whole days wages to bowl and eat pizza.
